Justin Snikkar is a professional bass player and guitar/bass teacher. He has 30 years experience in playing music and 12 years teaching lessons. He received his Humber College Music Diploma with Honours in 2005 and a Certificate in Human Behaviour with Honours in 2014. A well rounded career includes many years of live gigs internationally, studio recordings, composing and teaching. Other interests include, kung fu, videography, cycling and movies.
Antoinette Ankrah is currently a vocal teacher at Encore Music Services and has been teaching for two years She also serves as the Client and Teacher Liaison at the school. She also has two years experience teaching basic piano and basic theory at Holy Name Parish – African Catholic Community and two years as the Co-Director of Kanisa Community Choir. She has extensive experience in the music industry. She started off her RCM Vocal lessons five years ago and has obtained her level 8 certification; and five years experience singing at the University of Windsor. In addition to her prior experience, Antoinette has seven years working in the musical theatre industry in such performances as Jesus in the City as a backing vocalist for Lorraine Harris, backing vocalist for gospel artist Ray Robinson, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Liam the Musical, Bizet’s Carmen amongst others. She has also performed with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto City Opera. Antoinette has been featured in two music videos, one for Ray Robinson in 2017 and the other for Spectra Singer’s in 2014.

Jordan Koziej - Piano Instructor & Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator
Michael Filion, originally comes from Québec and started to take classic guitar lessons at the age of eight years old. At the age of 13, Michael was part of a wind ensemble where he was a percussionist playing mostly the timpani and the snare for a year. He also joined a guitar ensemble that he pursued for three years. At the age of 14, he was a member of a Symphony Orchestra as the main percussionist and at the same time, started to take lessons in Jazz. After two years of training, he joined a Jazz Band as a drummer. In 2015, Michael started to teach drums at a music school in Montreal. In 2016, Michael went to Cégep de Saint-Laurent in Montréal to study music theory as well as improve on his drumming skills. In September 2017, he moved to Toronto and is currently teaching at Encore Music Services as well as numerous other schools in the GTA; and he practices frequently. Michael enjoys motivating and teaching young musicians to take opportunities and to have a lot of fun.
Nicole currently teaches piano as the Director of Encore Music Services. Raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Nicole holds an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and became interested in learning to play piano when she was seven. As a teacher, Nicole has 22 years of experience teaching students of all levels and specializes in music for young children, as well as advanced RCM students. Her lessons emphasize theory, ear training, musicality and creativity. Although Nicole comes from a strictly classical background, she is happy teaching, performing, and enjoying many styles of music from classical to pop. Nicole encourages students to participate in local music festivals, RCM examinations and concerts. Her passion is to help her students enjoy the joys of music!
Nicole Philips - Director, Encore Music Services
Jordan Koziej currently teaches piano at Encore Music Services. He also serves as the Community Engagement and Communications Coordinator for the school. Jordan started playing piano at the age of 8 and currently holds a grade 9 RCME certification. Jordan was exposed to the wind ensemble at Waterfront Public School where he played soprano, alto and tenor recorders. His ensemble won an award from the Kiwanis Music Festival in Toronto. He was also exposed to a strings ensemble at Queen Elizabeth Senior Public School and at Port Credit Secondary School where he played the cello. Jordan was part of the award winning Peel Regional String Program at Port Credit Secondary School. Jordan is an independent film composer and is part of the Canadian Screen Composers Guild as well as a member of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada. Jordan has extensive experience working with children in the musical education field as well as experience with youth development. He has a wide breath of knowledge in different genres of music and has experience working in different band and orchestral settings. Jordan also has a background in the film industry and studied at Niagara College. He enjoys reading, playing his piano, composing music and teaching. He also takes pleasure knowing that his students utilize their skills to become better and superior musicians…all while having fun!

Shahin Abdi - Guitar, Piano & Band Instructor
Shahin Abdi teaches piano, guitar and band at Encore Music Services. He started playing music at the age of 5 playing an Iranian percussion instrument called Tonbak. At 11 he started taking piano lessons and at 14 he picked up guitar. He has been playing guitar, bass and keyboards in many Rock, punk and R&B bands ever since. In 2012 his interest shifted towards producing electronic music. He is an alumnus of Fanshawe College Music Industry Arts program, studying music production and sound engineering with Dan Brodbeck, Moe Berg and David Martin. He has released a solo EP of electronic rock music under the pseudonym “Gesetz” and played guitar for the upcoming R&B star George Roubos’ debut release “In the City”.
